Lovely place but beware of Dangerous New Walkway

点评：We were part of the wedding party on the 30th May and despite the event being beautiful, there is a BIG problem with safety.
The new timber decking/platform walkway that has recently been installed over the lake is VERY dangerous. Not structurally, as it’s very strong. But due to the steps and differences in heights not being visible. There is absolutely no edge markings on the edges of the stair treads to show this danger.
We witnessed a 78 year old lady (the grooms grandmother) take a really nasty fall when she didn’t identify this hazard.
A couple of other people also nearly did similar at the event.
After highlighting this to the wedding planners they were very sympathetic to my mother in law and were very lepful. But I advised them that this WILL happen again. It is inevitable. I advised them, as the event planners, to raise this with the owners as a matter of urgency. They said would.
I followed up the next day with an email to the owners by email and advised of this danger. I advised I would await their reply to see what they would do to remedy this (e.g. simply painting a line at the edges of the treads would be simple but effective). I said I would wait their favourable response before I made my Tripadvisor review. They never bothered to respond, despite me sending them the photos of my mother in laws injury.
hence this poor review.
Please, if you do book this venue, and they have not remedied this obvious problem, please do take care when walking on their new platform and treads.
