点评：We knew that it is not the perfect time if the year as season is only starting in February but we expected a little bit more.
Arriving at the jetty with a pre-booked ticket we found out that there is not "The one" ferry with its schedule but every ticket company has its own boats and tries to get them full.
Therefore, we were leaving 40min. later than scheduled (after complaining) and had a terrible crossing in high waves. IMPORTANT ADVICE: try to get to the islands early in the morning as it gets more and more windy throughout the day. We felt safe due to a good boatsman but some passengers were frightened as the boat jumped high and than landed hard on the next wave, making us and the luggage wet and salty .It took us 1 hour to get there and 20min. more to reach our stop ( they drop you on your hotel/ chalet/ glamping, just have to inform them).
Although our place charged as much as a 4* Berjaya,Langkawi hotel it was lacking the comfort.
We knew it is rather basic but this includes that beaches are full of stones, shells and glass / rubbish from the sea. At high tide the beaches are reduced by 2/3 in width. The water has jellyfish and there were no protected areas. A café we visited for lunch had nothing available from their menu except rice and nuddles- no water, no sodas, no sandwich.
Maybe we have been at too many great places and maybe due to my age (57) I do not see anymore the romantic side of it, but we really regretted having booked 4 days here as there is not much to do and the sun is very aggressive once it is out.
Besides, locals are very ignorant, no awareness for the plastic straws litter they produce and most of them speak poor English.
