点评：We took a group of six youth, ages 12-17, and six adults, ages 18-68, on the Olympic Kayak Tours 5-ish hour day tour from Fort Flagler on Marrowstone Island. I am an experienced kayaker and outdoor education leader. This is the best available kayak tour if you want outdoor education and not merely recreation. It is also the best if you want superb kayak instruction for beginners, of which we had many. The owner, Sam, is a naturalist who shares more information about the tides, water, land formations, and wildlife than any other tour I've been on. He plans each trip carefully to take advantage of the currents and tides. He provides binoculars for every kayaker so you can view wildlife well without disturbing it. We viewed a colony of 60 seals with newborn pups and were able to do so, with Sam's thorough instruction, without disturbing the nursing mothers and pups; nursing undisturbed is critical for the pups' survival. We also viewed a tern colony and a gull colony with immature birds by the hundreds, again without disturbing them, but close enough to see them both with the naked eye and even better with the binoculars. The double kayaks were in excellent condition, and most of the boats were nearly new. The paddles were nice and light, and the life jackets were comfortable and highly adjustable. If you want the best kayak instruction and naturalist tour in the region, this is it. Great for kids, teens, and adults of all ages.
