Non smokers beware

点评：First impressions weren't good. I don't speak much Greek but I know what "Malaka" means, which is what the man dealing with my luggage said while I attempted to help him stow it.
It was a very windy day, so we didn't want to sit up the top. There also weren't any seats left anyway. We sat down the bottom at the rear. Unfortunately, this is essentially a smoker's lounge, complete with gross little cigarette butt bins made out of plastic bottles. I'm sensitive to smoke, especially tobacco smoke. Even if I wasn't, nobody should be subjected to that much second hand smoke. I tried moving inside, but the door doesn't shut, and the smoke just wafts in. Without the sea breeze, the combination of stale smoke and harsh cleaning chemicals was even worse.
It took me a couple of days to not feel sick after this trip. I felt like I'd smoked half a packet of cigarettes. I'm getting a headache just thinking about it. Most of the smokers were staff members. I asked a staff member to not smoke near me and gestured to my inhaler. He moved to the other side of the boat after making a face. He was back in the same spot for his next cigarette.
I spent 6 hours moving around the top section when seats became available.
If you're looking at day tripping, honestly I'd recommend forking out for the water taxi if possible.
