Peaceful, interesting ruins, amazing views

点评：Just a 5 minute walk from the (payable) car park, the ruins of the old castle are still impressive and interesting.
Information boards are dotted about and the grounds are well kept. Shame about the parents who don't read the 'do not climb on this dangerous wall) notices, they were too busy catching up on their phones instead of admiring the peaceful views.
However head to the far corner where grassy slopes encourage you to sit a while and look out at the plains below, farmers fields, a train line, ships and boats entering into the estuary and various wild life overhead. Peaceful! Relaxing!
Next door to the car park is a rare breeds centre, if you aim to be there about 4.30/5pm, at feeding time, the noises are truly entertaining! We arrived too late to check out the Goats, sheep, ducks and other small animals so will return.
