Great Ferry Ride and Day Trip to Bulls Island

点评：We took the Nov 12, 2024 ferry ride to Bulls Island. It was a fantastic experience from the boat ride to and from the island to exploring the island. Captain Nick and Guide Amy were very friendly and welcoming. They pointed out wildlife, characteristics of this marine environment and things to do on the island. Amy provided a map of the island and recommended that with the three hours we had available to be sure to see the beach and the boneyard and to get to the boneyard before high tide made it inaccessible. She also cautioned about spending too much time on the wooded trails as mosquitos were still biting. Her guidance proved to be wise. Although we didn't see dolphins, we did see alligators, butterflies, egrets, herons, sand crabs, a racoon and many shells, including intact sand dollars on the beach. We didn't take our bikes based on recommendations we saw online, but several others in the trip had bikes and felt it allowed them to see more of the island and riding was only an issue is a few places where the sand was soft. We may take our bikes the next time we visit. We definitely plan on visiting again and trying Coastal Expeditions other tours.
