Wonderful adventure at Bulls Island
Bulls Island Ferry的点评
点评：We caught the 9 am ferry and was treated to a beautiful ride to the dock of Bulls Island and given a lot of information by our naturalist Nick. My husband and I chose to stay all day so that we could explore the island, first hiking to the observation deck then to the beach. Nick informed us of areas and paths to avoid and the one's to explore! Be prepared with bug spray and hiking attire to keep off the bugs, mainly mosquitoes, horse flies and bumble bees. We wished we had nets for our hats. The trail to the observation deck was shaded partly by the trees so that helped with the heat and sun. Definitely glad we hiked to the observation area first thing. The view upon arrival is worth the hike and strangely you get a break from the bugs up on the deck. We then hiked to the beach after stopping for a lunch break. By that time, the other people from our ferry ride had left to go back on the 12:00 ferry, so we were the only ones on the 7 miles of beach. We walked to the Boneyard and collected sand dollars at every few steps. The boneyard is amazing and beautiful. We were treated to a huge bird nest and the parents flying overhead and landing in the nest. Unspoiled nature at its finest. Even with a downpour of rain and a bit of thunder, the boneyard was enchanting. On our walk back down the beach, a huge military aircraft appeared out of nowhere and was flying very low in the pouring rain. Did that really just happen and how did we not notice it until it was right in front of us? We hiked back down Beach rode to the picnic area for the restrooms and a snack break before heading back to the ferry. We will definitely go back to explore the other trails and the other end of the beach. Such a beautiful place to explore.
翻译：我们搭乘早上9点的渡轮，一路风景优美，抵达了布尔斯岛码头。我们的自然学家尼克给我们讲解了很多知识。我和丈夫决定在岛上待上一整天，好好探索一番。我们先徒步登上观景台，然后去了海滩。尼克告诉我们哪些区域和路线应该避开，哪些值得一游！一定要带上驱蚊剂和徒步装备，以免被蚊虫叮咬，主要是蚊子、牛虻和大黄蜂。我们真希望当时带了防蚊网。通往观景台的小径部分路段被树荫遮蔽，有助于抵御烈日。我们非常庆幸一大早就去了观景台。到达观景台后，眼前的景色绝对值得一游，而且神奇的是，在观景台上竟然可以避开蚊虫。午饭后，我们继续徒步前往海滩。那时，同船的其他乘客已经离开，搭乘中午12点的渡轮返回，所以我们独自一人享受着这7英里长的海滩。我们步行前往海龟骨堆，每走几步就捡一些沙钱。骨堆真是令人惊叹，美不胜收。我们还看到了一个巨大的鸟巢，鸟爸鸟妈从头顶飞过，落在巢里。这才是最纯粹的自然风光。即使下着瓢泼大雨，还伴着些许雷声，骨堆依然魅力十足。回程的路上，一架巨大的军用飞机突然出现，在瓢泼大雨中低空飞行。这真的发生了吗？我们怎么没注意到它，直到它飞到我们眼前才发现？我们沿着海滩小径徒步回到野餐区，在那里上了个厕所，吃了点零食，然后才返回渡轮码头。我们一定会再来，探索其他的步道和海滩的另一端。这里真是个值得探索的美丽地方。
