Promised free pumpkins not provided, kids left heartbroken

点评：I went to Gull Meadow Farms for a corporate event, and part of what was advertised to us was that every guest would receive a free small pumpkin. My kids were especially excited about this, it was the part they looked forward to the most. I have agoraphobia, so this was the first time I had gone out in a long time, and the promise of the pumpkins made it feel worth the effort.
When we went to leave, the bins were completely empty. Staff inside the pumpkin area only pointed us toward the ones for purchase, even though free pumpkins were clearly promised as part of the event. There was no sign or disclaimer that supplies were limited. Watching my kids’ faces when they realized they were not getting one was heartbreaking.
It may seem small to some, but for families like mine, those little extras make a big difference. We could not justify paying for pumpkins, so we left empty handed and disappointed. If you promise free pumpkins for an event, there should either be enough for everyone or a clear warning up front that they are limited. Otherwise, families like mine end up feeling misled and excluded.
