点评：Visiting the Nymphaeum in Jerash was hands-down my favourite moment on site—and it’s easy to see why. Standing before this grand 2nd-century public fountain, you can’t help but be struck by the sheer scale and craftsmanship. Even in its ruined state, the detail is unbelievable: intricately carved columns, decorative niches, and the remains of what would’ve been a beautifully flowing multi-tiered water feature.
We arrived in the late-August heat, and for a second you can almost imagine what this place felt like when water cascaded down its marble façade, cooling and refreshing everyone who passed through the city’s heart. It must’ve been a showstopper in its prime, and honestly—it still is. The height of the structure alone makes you pause for a moment, especially when you consider it was one of Jerash’s central gathering points.
