Learning to trad lead week
Straight Up Adventures的点评
点评：I had a week with Luca learning to trad lead, I came with some basic sport lead experience. He was patient and practical, he outlined a clear plan for the week and i left being able to lead multi-pitch trad routes.
The 2 key take aways that I want people to know is:
Luca was able to break down the learning into clear stages and didn’t overwhelm me or make me feel rushed. While delivering practical and precise feedback, and letting me fail safely then correcting it, rather than jumping in too early (like getting told to do something while you’re about to do it).
And secondly this man is a rain god, I don’t know how he did it (sold his soul for dry weather probably) but for 5 days strait (of on and off rain) was able to find great dry rock to climb on every single day.
He also volunteers as search and rescue which makes me feel good to support someone who gives back to the mountains in big and small ways (replaces anchors also)
