点评：My last visit to Eszterháza was over ten years ago, so I hoped more restoration work would have been completed since that time. I was not disappointed. Although only a few rooms can be visited, they are stunning, and worth the visit. Meticulous restoration has been carried out and is still continuing.
Though it is advertised that you can choose whether to go round alone or join a group, we were told we could only join a group (no explanation was given). Since the group consisted of only 5 people, it was well worth it (this was in Hungarian - the one English-speaker had an audio guide). Our friendly guide actually spoke excellent English and was extremely attentive and willing to answer all our questions in either language.
A number of new rooms/exhibitions are apparently opening now in the summer of 2023 - I'm sure we will return to see them.
