Extremely rude behaviour!

点评：A group of 7 of us went on a ghost hunt to Fort Widley. We regularly do paranormal investigations and travel to different locations across the country to do them. This is not the first time we have done Fort Widley but the first time we've done it with Dark Encounters. At first, it seems very welcoming as the lead investigator, Jonathan welcomes you with his introductory speech and tells you the guides will help you but ultimately it's our investigation. We welcomed this as over the years we've spent hundreds of pounds on our own equipment as we do these investigations often. The group vigil was fine but when we split off into smaller groups it went very wrong. All groups were cramped into different sections of the tunnels (the slightest noise echoes everywhere) and so there was constant noise and you could always see someone's torch flashing somewhere. This wasn't a problem for us as we just wanted to set up our equipment and see what we got. However, the guide kept trying to push glasswork and table tipping as that's what they obviously always do. We said no on the basis we've had several negative experiences when people outside of our group blatantly push the glass and table about. So we continued our own research even though a group of ladies were shouting and banging their way through a table tipping session. At some point Johnathan appeared and just stood watching us, saying nothing just standing there. At no point did either our guide or Johnathan tell us our equipment was too noisy or ask us to put it away. Infact she encouraged us on several occasions to get it out and kept telling us to talk more. This was all fine. The turning point came when my husband was taking pictures of one of the tunnels (we were told you can take multiple pictures using flash photography) and Johnathan told him not to take pictures down the tunnel as there were people down there (there wasn't and he couldn't even see from where he was) so my husband turned away from the tunnel and took pictures in another direction. Johnathan went absolutely mad, shouting at the top of his voice (so loud everyone could hear in all the tunnels) that my husband had been asked to stop and how he's ruining other people's investigations. We made the decision to leave. He and guide followed us and accused us of being noisy and disruptive and said we should've used headphones with our equipment (we'd been there over 5 hours and never once had this been mentioned before, it also doesn't say this on the groups information email) our guide then started saying we'd been too noisy all night and our equipment was too noisy. Again the equipment had not been mentioned. However it had been alright when everyone else had been shouting and banging. I can't think what we did wrong to warrant such rude and aggressive behaviour but we shalt be booking with them again and I strongly recommend you don't either. There are much nicer paranormal groups to investigate with in Portsmouth.
