Unwelcoming, disinterested staff, poor choice of products, and wrong opening hours advertised online!

点评:Not impressed with my recent visit. Food stand (churros) was overpriced with a long wait. Made to feel unwelcome in many of the shops due to sheer rudeness from staff who didn’t even acknowledge our presence, offer a friendly greeting or ask if we needed any help. I will name and shame several of the stores where staff let the brands down by very poor customer ‘service’ (a complete lack of it!): Yankee Candle, Skechers, Port Meirion, Next, Eden, Luke, Adidas, Puma, Lindt, Vans, Rituals. So many of the staff were completely disinterested. I find it absolutely disgusting that basic standards, common courtesy, manners and politeness are clearly not prioritised by McArthur Glen. The only store we actually felt like our custom was welcome in was Joules. There was also a distinct lack of products to buy in the shopping outlet as a whole. Another complaint I have is there not being enough undercover seating - there are quite a few benches, but when wet these are obviously pointless and not useable. Moreover, opening times on the website were wrong! We checked a couple of hours before visiting and the website clearly advertised that the outlet would be open until 9pm. Then at 8pm, we were rudely made to leave the Rituals store with a female staff member abruptly saying they had now closed. If common sense had prevailed, she would have given us a few minutes notice so we could have made a purchase, but common sense did not feature in this exchange. I explained what I had seen on their website and she said the outlet had changed the opening hours this week! Blatant incompetence that the website was evidently not updated with this information until it was too late. Other customers in the vicinity were similarly confused due to also believing the stores were open until 9pm because that was stated online.
