A marvellous afternoon in the vineyard!
Charles Palmer Vineyards的点评
点评：Would thoroughly recommend going to Charles Palmer vineyard and tasting their wines (especially the Cuvee and Pinot Noir).
It’s in a really beautiful position up on the Weald so you can see the sweeping views of the vines below and the sea on the other. I can imagine it feels a little like Tuscany when the Lombardy poplars are out.
After the tasting we had the delicious charcuterie and cheese plates with glasses of wine we liked best in a super comfortable annexe with glorious views.
A marvellous 25 minute walk from Winchelsea too across the fields.
Best of all was the kindness, trouble and care Chantelle took with us, explaining the wines, process and delicious food afterwards.
It’s very much family run and they evidently put their heart and soul into it.
The winery will be open soon which will undoubtedly be fascinating to see.
A great bonus to our Rye trip!
