Great views from tower, but museum disappointing
Campanone o Torre Civica的点评
点评:Being from Australia, 7 Euros is about AU$12.50 at the moment, and so we debated whether it was worth going up the tower. Eventually, we decided that, given that it included entry to the museum, we would fork out the money.
We chose to climb the stairs (for the exercise), but took the lift back down. The views from above were stunning. However, the museum was very disappointing. The audio-visual displays covering the city’s history were very dated and were all in Italian. We attempted to use the QR codes to download information in English, but the sites took too long to download. There was meant to be another way of accessing audio on our phones, but it was either not working or we didn’t understand how to use it properly. Instructions were sadly lacking. We were not surprised that we were the only ones in the museum! (A bonus was that there were free toilets in the museum, but one cubicle was closed for repairs and the other had run out of toilet paper!)
In conclusion, the views are worth climbing the tower (or going up the elevator) to see, but given the state of the museum, I think the 7 Euro entry fee is a little steep.
