Dip Falls的点评
点评：I had seen pictures of Dip Falls after heavy heavy rain and it looked spectacular, but my first visit was during a drier time pre winter and I have to say I was preparing myself for disappointment.
Any concerns were unfounded and this is an absolutely lovely spot and well worth a visit whatever the time of year and weather.
Plenty of parking and a toilet block before you walk to the falls.
The fairly short walk to the base of the falls is via a very sturdy and safe set of metal/grid steps, fairly steep and with a couple of places to stop that have a bench to rest at. At the base is a large viewing platform with a little side extension that goes over the Dip River a little bit.
The base of the falls is fairly in your face and the rock formations that the water runs over are very impressive.
Back at the top you can walk over the road bridge which gives you great views of the Dip River, nice reflections on the day we were there. A short walk gets you to the viewing deck so you can get a proper view of the full length of the upper tier of the falls. This is a great spot for anyone to view the falls that has any mobility issues and can't take the steps to the lower falls. There is a Blue Badge Disability reserved parking spoace at this area to.
A very short drive or about a 10 minute walk up the road is 'The Big Tree'' a very large and old eucalyptus tree, well worth a look while your there.
On the way in or out of Dip Falls I'd recommend a trip tp the Blue Hills Honey Farm cafe, it's on the road down to the falls and is an excellent spot for a food break and some shopping.
