Cycle / Walk to the amazing Coco Beach La Digue

点评：We rode our bikes to Grande Anse early in the morning to avoid the heat which took about 20 mins and is a stunning ride through the islands wonderful green jungle. When you get to Grande Anse it’s about a 25 / 30 min walk which is a little strenuous in two places but on the whole okay but we’d advise good trainers as the rocks can be tricky ! Uou pass Petite Anse Enroute which is well worth stopping and taking a photo etc. When you eventually arrive at Coco Beach it is truly awesome - my favourite beach in the Seychelles and I think we must have visited nearly 50 on the 3 islands of Praslin, La Digue and Mahe. Worth the walk and the beach bars is brilliant. We were the first to arrive on the beach at 9:20am so had the whole place to ourselves but the Beach Bar owner advised us to go and swim in the lagoon at the far end and then return for fresh fruit juice / cocktail at 11 am when the bar opened . The lagoon is wonderful safe swimming and superb snorkelling. We were lucky and had the whole place to ourselves . We decided not to walk to Anse Caiman and just enjoy Coco Beach. We enjoyed a truly delicious bbq with fresh Job Fish grilled on the open fire . It was seriously scrummy and lots of lovely salads / noodles to accompany the incredible fish (R250 pp)
The beach bar staff were all wonderful, helping us and serving the best fresh fruit juices (R100) and cocktails (R150) we’d experienced !
We were kindly offered 2 comfy beach loungers which were greatly appreciated😊. We did swim at low tide which was lovely, but reef shows would be advised! Definitely one of my highlights of our trip to the Seychelles 😁.
