Fun, nice people and great waterfalls

点评：Nice self-led hike to view 4 beautiful waterfalls, each with its own character. The location road map is accurate and there are some small directional signs along the way to help you. Unless you have a sturdy 4WD vehicle, we would suggest parking at the side of the road at the little hut where you pay the entrance fee and walking the extra 1 km each way along the steep gravel road to the actual parking lot since it’s not for 2WD. The people were lovely! And their dog Duque accompanied us all the way to the last waterfall, a faithful guide who just stayed with us - so cute. The trails go pretty steeply down (lots of steps) the side of the deep canyon carved out by the river through dense rainforest. The heavy rains of Dec 2024 must have damaged some of the trail that used to run along the river bank, but you can still see all you want and they were doing some repair work. Coming up, we met the owners who were working in a pasture and they gave us a ride back to the start in the bed of the farm truck. The whole thing took us a couple of leisurely hours.
