点评：The Pea Ohana Historic Locks tour our Girl Scout troop took this weekend was a very unique experience! Learning that kayaking through the handcranked double lock was the only place in the world we could experience that was fascinating. And the history of the locks and area was interesting.
Our guide, Dutch, was knowledgeable and safety focus, making sure we all felt comfortable throughout the experience. We all got the hang of it. Along the way we saw the Y-Bridge again learning that it's one-of-a-kind construction
The only drawback was all the waiting: waiting for the locks to rise and fall. Kayaking back we arrived at the locks at 2:03 PM, only to find out the lock operator was on a mandatory break, starting at 2 PM. This meant a 30-minute wait in our kayaks. Pea Ohana would do well to start the tour 30 minutes earlier.
We have done paddleboarding at Buckeye Lake with Pea Ohana with our troop and tubing with our family. You can't go wrong with any of the adventures. The guides are patient and take time to offer support and solid instruction.
