Anfiteatro Campano的点评
点评：Not a huge site, but well worth a visit. Much of the amphitheatre has been cannibalised over time to other buildings, but there is still plenty to see. There is a tiny ‘Gladiator Museum’ on site contains some nice stone carvings. There is another small museum in the town too, but we didn’t visit it so cannot comment.
The only real problem was in getting there from Naples. The earliest train doesn’t depart until 11:54. We found that there are regular AirCampania buses though, so we caught the 10:00 from Corso Meridionale. Service no. 06, tickets €5.00 each way per person, purchaseable from the driver on board, CASH ONLY, no cards. note too that your destination is not ‘Capua’, but ‘Santa Maria Capua Vetere’. I recommend you sit near the driver and ask him to tell you which stop you need.
