Hocking Hills Horse Rides的点评
点评：If a business is so public facing, they should exemplify the characteristics of proper horsemanship and equine husbandry. This looks like having horses with well maintained top lines, properly fitting tack that has been double checked that it is in good working order, and under absolutely no circumstances should a member of the public be placed on a horse that is lame for a 2+ hour ride.
I was so excited for an excursion into Hocking Hills, and when I arrived I was concerned at the condition of the animals. I had requested the 'tack em up' feature for my ride, which i was unable to do, at the beginning or ending of our ride. Brushes were not available either. The first horse I was given was on the thin side and when I got on, noticeably lame at the walk. I was told the horse had arthritis, had received medicine, and would walk out of it. But any horseman worth their salt would not have let this happen to begin with. The second horse i was brought was still under muscled. While the saddle fit properly, the bridle was changed out halfway through the ride, from a snaffle to a curb (which i did not feel the horse needed a harsher bit for walking nose to tail) and the rein was barely knotted to the bit. When we stopped for a break, the trail guide was rude when I refused to tie the horse up by the bridle. When we remounted, i watched another guest walk off without the reins over their horses head, and the horse stepped on the reins and got tangled up with the gues still mounted. When we arrived back, any questions I had for the guide were ignored.
