An Ice Creamery That's Really Worth the Trip

点评：We just paid our first visit to Uncle John's Ice Creamery in Wilmington (next to Market Basket). We've been to all the other ice cream store chains over the Years: Rancatore's in Lexington, JP Licks, Kimball Farms, Bedford Farms, Lizzy's in Waltham, Ben & Jerry's in VT and more. But there's a few things that are different here at Uncle John's Ice Creamery. First, the ice cream is made on premises daily. Second while the flavor options include all the standards, there are also lots of unusual flavors, like Churro Dulce De Leche or Ooey Gooey Butter Cake. Second, this new shop is beautifully decorated and spotless inside. Third, the owner has a real passion for ice cream and is exceptionally nice. Fourth, the new owner seems to havre a knack for hiring and training a wonderful staff. Right out of the gate, it's a nice place to be. So if you want great ice cream in a cheery spacious beautiful shop with plenty to choose from, I recommend you check the newest ice cream shop around. It's worth the extra miles for a great dessert. (our daughter and granddaughters agree!)
