101 Airborne Museum Le Mess - Bastogne的点评
点评：Tremendous museum that attempts and succeeds at making visitors feel what the soldiers and citizens went thru during this horrific battle. So many lives lost.
The vignettes are so realistic. Some quite shocking.
We worked with one of the founders, Johnny Bona and he was fantastic. Truly one of the best guides we have ever worked with anywhere in the world He is a retired Belgian officer and is extremely well informed and passionate about the battle of the bulge and the sacrifices made by all the soldiers who fought in this action. We spent 5+ hours with him, a full briefing of the battle, the disposition of the troops, the motivations behind the battle and the cost in lives lost if the battle. We then toured the key sites including fox holes he knows that are off the typical tourist route and we were able to traverse the route that Patton's tanks took on their way into Bastogne. At each stop Johnny pulled out maps on poster board so we could orient ourselves.
