I change the date of a booking scheduled for the end of the month. They change it.

I realize I messed up (my bad!) ask to change a second time. This is the exact response:
“Hello,
I made the change to the 31st. Due to 2 switches we will be unable to switch this again. Also we will be unable to issue any refund from this point on even if the tour is cancelled as we have already switched it 2 times.”
Note I had ZERO warning of this “two switch” rule. They simply changed the date and told me I’m now stuck.
When we hit traffic in our five hour drive I called to warn we were running 10 minutes late (about 80% of the way there) and got yet another song and dance how everyone would leave without us if we arrived even one minute late.
We bailed. Life is too short to deal with people like this.
