点评:Do not go if you are in anyway disabled. My husband booked a night here for our 10th Wedding Anniversary after checking with the booking line that the hotel was suitable for disabled guests. When we arrived we realised that our room had 4 flights of stairs, both up and down to reach it from reception or the restaurant and bar. We returned to reception and spoke to the duty manager, where we explained that we had checked with the booking line but that room was no way suitable for a disabled guest. Despite there only being about 12 parties in the vast hotel he said that no other rooms were available. He also told me the reason they had no lifts was because it was a listed building . We spoke to the night porter later that night who was so enthusiastic about his job at the historic building he explained all about the family that had owned it, the tea trade and how it was actually a small house but all the hotel rooms were in a fairly newly built annex!
The room we had was awful and apart from being unsuitable was dark dingy and the view was directly onto a brick wall!
The one ‘good thing’ was the food. We did choose to pay to upgrade from the very limited menu but it was good.

我们的房间很糟糕,除了不合适之外,还很暗又肮脏,而且景色直接在砖墙上!
唯一的“好东西”就是食物。我们确实选择付费从非常有限的菜单升级,但它很好。
