点评：My wife and I visited Casa do Montado on Monday, January 13, 2025. We had heard that the museum is by appointment only during the winter months, but we stopped by in the morning anyway to see if by chance it would be open. The museum was closed but the sign by the door had a telephone number which we texted (in English) to see if we could set up a visit. Soon after we got a call from Andrea, one of the museum co-owners, who set up a time to meet us at the museum later that evening. The museum is housed in an interesting old house and has many displays about the development of the Montado agroforestry system practiced in the area, changes in regional biodiversity, cork harvesting and processing, etc. The museum visit was self-guided but Andrea, who also works on a local farm in the region, was open to answer all of our questions and was extremely knowledgable about the subject. We very much enjoyed our visit!
