Beautiful, be mindful of what you order

点评：We had dinner at Conti Thun. On first drive-up impression this place is awesome. Meticulously maintained grounds and vineyard. Beautiful building and restaurant. It is truly impressive in the way it looks and feels. Not the fault of the restaurant but the other guests were loud...many children and dogs running and screaming and barking.
The wine was delicious.
The appetizers were delicious.
Every meal that we saw come out of the kitchen looked beautiful.
Our challenges: (1) The service team never seemed to clear the used water bottles and unused glasses from our table so it was completely full of glassware. (2) Our main course was materially different than the menu description. The menu in both English and Italian described "slow cooked short ribs" which ended up being grilled spare ribs. Other guests DID get short ribs with thick meat that was falling off the bone. We got spare ribs with meat between the bones that was tough and required gnawing directly off the bone to eat.
Normally when spare ribs are served, so is a wet towel to wipe your hands...nope.
We mentioned this to the team, they explained that this was the summer recipe and not the normal winter recipe which does produce tender meat.
Long story short...don't order short ribs in summer...you might get the good ones (like the other table did) or you might get spare ribs that are tough and terrible (like we did).
We will go back but we will definitely never order the "ribs" again.
Management made a small concession of 15 EUR on the final tab...but we had ordered multiple services of the ribs for the table and this represented only 5% discount.

通常上排骨时还会配上湿毛巾供洗手用……这次可没有。
我们向工作人员询问后，他们解释说这是夏季特供食谱，并非冬季的常规食谱——后者做出来的肉才软嫩可口。
总之……夏天可别点短肋排哦……你可能会拿到不错的排骨（就像另一桌的情况那样），但也有可能拿到又硬又难吃的排骨（就像我们遇到的情况）。
我们还会再去，但绝对不会再点“排骨”这道菜了。
餐厅管理层在最终账单上给予了15欧元的优惠……不过我们这一桌点了好几份排骨，这个优惠额度仅相当于5%的折扣而已。
