Go and check the river before signing up for a kayak trip

点评：The site is lovely, but unfortunately it’s ruined by the overwhelming number of companies offering kayaking trips down the river. Groups of 20–30 kayaks go down the stream non-stop from early morning until late afternoon.
We visited as a family with our paddle boards, and I’ve never seen a site so overcrowded, with many kayakers clearly out of control. We stopped at one of the rapids and witnessed numerous people falling out, including distressed children getting separated from their parents. Even though the rapids are small, the current is surprisingly strong.
What was most concerning is that there seemed to be no support from the kayak companies, just lots of photographers trying to capture “the perfect moment,” while people were crashing into each other.
We’ve travelled extensively, and I’ve never felt so unsafe at a river site. As a family, I’d strongly recommend checking how busy the river is before signing up for any activity. While we did see some people manage well, out of every 20, around 8–10 were coming off their kayaks and getting swept downstream with no assistance. Keep safe!
