点评：If you had tried to pitch the idea of a large scale bar on the outskirts of town, with DJ's playing electronic music and a large selection of high strength alcohol to the Dragons Den, in 2025. I'm sure they'd have some cautionary words for the entrepreneur, and politely back out of the presentation. This is not the 90's after all. This is five years from a global net zero goal, in a town where we've switched off a clock that blows bubbles, due to health and safety reasons.
Sure, it might be a shade more expensive than a rural pub, but there is no expense spared on the environment. Log fires blaze all evening, gas heaters are on full blast and indoors you won't need a jacket either. Cliental are mostly well dressed, well spoken and with good hair, you know the drill.
There are no bus routes and definitely no cycle lanes tot he location. Although you may see the odd cyclist, don't let that put you off.
Somehow, people arrive—like moths to a flame, or Range Rovers to a poorly lit gravel car park. No one asks questions. Until the day I can afford a self-driving Tesla, and roll silently out of the car park, slumped in the passenger seat like a tech-savvy Victorian ghost. We travel home the old-fashioned way: full of mystery, mild regret, and kebab shop receipts.
