Unique Setting, Relax Under the Wisteria
3rd Turn Oldham Gardens的点评
点评：I cannot say enough good things about 3rd Turn Oldham Gardens. Sure, there are plenty of outdoor patios, decks and rooftops but this is unique in that 3rd Turn repurposed a greenhouse and nursery into a beer garden. There are spots to be in the sun, spots to be in the shade, spots indoors but drinking your beer under the cover of 50-year-old Wisteria trees that have wound their way through the former greenhouse skeleton is something special.
There is a nice variety of house and guest beers which will satisfy everyone in your group. And, of course, if beer isn’t your thing, whiskey and Bourbon.
3rd Turn may look a little remote if you’re staying in downtown Louisville but it’s an easy 20 minute or so drive and depending on your curiosity, there are several ways to get there. Bonus stop: Kentucky Artisan Distillery (Jefferson’s Bourbons) is just down the road, not even a three minute drive.
3rd Turn presents a most relaxing setting to enjoy a day. That said, we were there in the late afternoon; they tell me that Friday and Saturday nights can be a little busy. In any case, check it out.
They recently updated their web site. There is a lot going on much more than I could include here – food, events, music, Whiskey Wednesdays – you’ll find something you’ll love about this place.
