点评：My husband and I spent a week in London recently. It was our first time in England, and since I am a big fan of British programs like "The Great British Bake Off," "Downton Abbey," "All Creatures Great & Small," etc. I have always wanted to experience the English countryside for myself. A fellow Viking Cruise traveler recommended Victoria's Cotswold Teacup Tours, so I contacted Victoria via her website. She asked some questions about our interests and then provided a suggested 1-day itinerary for review. Victoria was happy to modify the itinerary to fit in a couple of places that I had read about. On the morning of the tour, we took an easy train ride from London Paddington to Hanborough Station. Victoria was waiting for us at the station with a big smile and a wave, as though we were friends she had not seen in a long time. As we drove through the countryside, she told us about the local history and interesting stories. Her very comfortable vehicle was stocked with drinks, umbrellas, and anything we might need. She arranged a lovely lunch for us at a beautiful old pub/inn, which was delicious. Victoria is a true lady of the Cotswolds and knows all the best places to visit. In a couple of the villages, she introduced us to local merchants... one who allowed us a short tour of his beautiful gardens. We spent only one 6-hour day with Victoria, but I feel like we have made a true friend. I am now dreaming about a Christmas time visit in the future and will definitely reach out to Victoria when that time comes.
