Elephants, Elephants and More Elephants--an oustanding Tour!

点评：We arranged for a private tour of Addo National Elephant Park, outside of Port Elizabeth in South Africa. It was OUTSTANDING! By far our best safari experience during our 20-day trip.
The value of this experience is tremendous and I really appreciate how smoothly the day went. Our guide was waiting for us, got us to the park quickly, checked in and we were off on "the drive" about as fast as possible. We spent hours driving and he spotted birds as well as animals, so my camera is full of marvelous photographs. Of course, the highlight was the elephants and we estimate we saw more than 300! Our guide said that is a bit above average, which is astounding. The watering holes were very busy. Our guide was also quite adept at getting us great views. In several cases elephants came very close to the jeep, but we felt safe --and of course--got the most amazing photos. Our guide's long-term experience in the park meant he knew many of the elephants stories and histories. It really was a magical experience and I thank you for organizing the day for us.
I want to especially say how fantastic our guide, Frank Smith was. He is exceptionally knowledgable about the animals and their behaviors as well as the park ecosystem. We very much enjoyed learning from him. My husband and I are retired university professors and we were thrilled to learn a lot from our guide, and to realize his depth of knowledge and experience as a guide. The cost was very reasonable for 6+ hours on a private tour with a knowledgable guide!
