点评：Our family of 4 did the Vatican Family Tour and the Ostia Antica Family Tour with MariaCladia’s colleague Simona on two separate days in late December, and they were honestly the most memorable and enjoyable things we did in Rome. Simona was so friendly and engaging with our kids (ages 7 and 10), and she made learning fun. After our Vatican tour, our kids were so excited when they learned Simona would also be leading us through Ostia Antica! My husband and I learned a lot too. So much history to take in… Especially if you have young kids, this is the way to do it! Simona was very knowledgeable, and she also had a lot of great recommendations for other things to see and do in Rome. Our kids are still talking about both tours.
Btw, I highly recommend the Ostia Antica tour in particular. The site is apparently often overlooked by visitors. But it is a short taxi ride from Rome, and it’s much like visiting Pompeii (which we also went to), except closer and without crowds of tourists.
