点评:On arrival we were greeted by Billy who provided milk and a key - which he then had to fix as this was broken. We had concerns about the running water noise in the radiator which he assured he would look into for us, however, we heard no more about it.
The pods are small accommodation spaces, we had Pod 3 which was high above the main building which meant a lot of stairs to reach the Pod. There was a double bed built into a boxed space which meant clambering over each other if you needed to get out of bed. Only sitting provided was two folding wooden chairs. However, a near vertical ladder was positioned in the main space which took you to a bath on the top floor, with another folding chair. Washing products provided, but of the 3 bottles provide, only one was labelled - so we used our own toiletries.
A toilet and sink were in a cupboard by the bed. The overall theme was industrial, which was interpreted as a basic finish with lots of screws prominent and patchy paintwork. The ‘kitchen’ was basically a sink, microwave, kettle and toaster with open storage. The fridge contained another bottle of milk (no idea how long that had been there) and a water bottle half full, again no idea how long that water had been in the fridge. The kettle was half full of water, rather than empty which is the accepted norm with hospitality kettles. 3 teabags and some ground coffee completed the hospitality offering.
The ladder was steep, with warning attached about taking care while using them - you need to be agile! Bath had hot water, would have preferred a shower.
We went out for the evening, returned at 10.30pm to find a cold Pod, the heating was off and we were unable to get any heating going.
However, early the next morning the water running radiator started up and the noise got us out of bed, we checked out at 8.30am.
We are unlikely to book a Pod again, at £108 for an uncomfortable night and very limited facilities/service we didn’t think it was good value.
