点评：Where to start climbing kilimanjaro has been on my bucket list for many years. This month I eventually got to go. The excitement and energy of meeting the group I was travelling at Dublin Airport was a wonderful way to start the trip.
On the run up to the trip I had John in the office constantly available to be answering every silly question I had and was always so patient and kind.
I will admit I did underestimate the task of climbing kilimanjaro, but that is where Pat Falvey and his team in Tanzania shone like a ray of light in the dark.
The help, support and encouragement I got along the way is what made my dream of reaching the summit come through. Our guides and porters were second to none a big shout to Freddie the head guide who lead the team by example not just by instruction.
The trip cost a lot of money and I did wonder if I could have done it cheaper. It wasn't until I was on the mountain and saw the facilities and expert care we all received in comparison to other groups made each penny totally worth the price.
Having Pat Falvey on hand as a mentor was wonder, he supported and encouraged me even at the times I thought I was going to fail.
This was my first trip as a solo traveller the experience couldn't have been more positive. I was blessed with my fellow travellers who all embraced me and made me feel like I was one of the gang not a solo traveller.
After my climb I headed to zanzibar for some r&r time, I stayed at the Jo boutique hotel(wonderful hotel)
This was also organised by Pat Falvey.
I am looking forward to more adventures to come, I signed up for the forever young club with Pat Falvey. The fear of been a solo traveller is certainly now gone.
After watching video after video of people climbing Kili there is nothing like the real thing.
