Not a place to visit if you feeling the caribbean

点评：St. Croix has the natural beauty you’d expect from the Caribbean—stunning beaches, warm waters, and vibrant sunsets. Unfortunately, that’s where most of the positives stopped during my visit.
The overall experience left a lot to be desired. Customer service was generally poor—slow, disorganized, and in some cases, downright unfriendly. At several restaurants and shops, we were either ignored or treated like an inconvenience. This wasn’t a one-off issue; it became a pattern throughout the week.
Basic infrastructure is lagging. Roads are in rough shape, signage is minimal, and getting reliable transportation was a hassle. Even finding clear information for tourists proved surprisingly difficult. It felt like visitors were more tolerated than welcomed.
Accommodations were below expectations—clean enough, but dated and lacking in basic upkeep. Food was hit-or-miss: a few meals were great, but many were overpriced and mediocre in both quality and service.
In short, while the island has natural potential, it’s not being supported by the level of hospitality or investment needed to justify the cost of a trip here. I wanted to love it, but I left feeling disappointed.
