点评:Well, this was interesting. We went for tea and added the tour experience. The castle is a real castle by definition. It meets the criteria of number of towers, etc. The history of the various owners is fascinating as well. The current owner does not live there but there is a full time “host.” I’m not sure of his actual title. What is interesting is he and his family live like it’s 500 years ago as it relates to customs , manners and etiquette. It’s difficult to explain. He gave the tour and was quite amusing. There are six different rooms available for overnight stays and formal dinner is included in the dining room. If a guest you can wander around. Lots of information is available on their website about offerings and activities. As for the tea. It was served by a footman and a housemaid or whatever the title. Included is three kinds of teas and about 4/5 sweet treats. It’s not served on the table on a tiered tray but individually served by the staff. Tea is also served to you. I don’t think the treats were anything special and all sweet. No tiny finger sandwiches. Tea was $50 and the tour an additional charge of $10. We also tipped the servers. All in all enjoyable.
