点评:Absolutely fantastic and totally irreverent little free museum in the center of Margate. I stopped in here with my 8yo and 5yo when walking through town and I’m not sure who enjoyed the place more! Certainly worth dropping in for half an hour on a day out.
The museum presents decapod facts in a very fun and accessible way and children can complete a worksheet of questions to guide their discovery and earn a sticker. It also educates on the critical importance of crabs to our human world, especially pharmaceuticals, and the impact of human activity on crabs.
The highlight was that the place and staff have a brilliant subversive left-wing/republican/anti-capitalist vibe but it’s delivered in an honest and humorous way that shouldn’t bother you even if you disagree with those politics. Crabton-on-Tyne is hilarious. Most of the delivery will go way over children’s heads.
