Te Fare Natura is an absolute must-visit. Make it your very first stop in Moorea! This eco-museum is incredibly well designed, informative, and worth every cent. In just 1.5 hours, we learned so much about the natural and cultural richness of French Polynesia that it completely changed how we experienced the rest of our trip.
If the museum offers a guided tour, say yes without hesitation and ask for Lahiki (Rising Sun)! Lahiki was an outstanding guide: deeply knowledgeable, passionate about her home, and eager to share that love with others. Her explanations were clear, engaging, and full of insight. She guided us through every aspect of the museum with focus and flow — efficient, yet relaxed and enjoyable throughout.
Her energy was contagious, her storytelling vivid, and her connection to the land and traditions inspiring. The highlight? She even summoned a gentle rain shower with the drums and taught us some Polynesian drumming — pure magic!
