点评：We visited for breakfast one morning over the bank holiday weekend. I chose to have poached eggs on toast with the additional option of 2 rashers of bacon.
One egg was solid. In fact if its shape hadn’t confirmed it had indeed been poached you could have thought it was a hard boiled one.
Bizarrely as for the other egg, its yolk was very runny and the white was undercooked.
The bacon which was the streaky version that they serve here was very much overcooked and consequently rock hard meaning it was impossible to cut with a knife.
The ‘toast’ had been barely touched by any form of heat so really was better described as bread.
And finally, when I opened one of the wrapped portions of butter which had arrived on the plate, it was completely liquid. Considering the plate was not hot and neither was the ‘toast’ against which it was leaning, it must have been kept in that state in the kitchen.
We’ve had some delightful meals in this cafe but sadly on this particular occasion it was below par.
