Mixed Experience at Goodsheds, Barry

点评：Visited Goodsheds for lunch on Sunday with a friend. We opted for an outdoor table as the indoor space felt a bit gloomy, though the wind outside made it less comfortable. There was some low-level background music, which added to the atmosphere without being intrusive.
Ordering was done via a QR code on the table, which worked smoothly, but my friend pointed out that the system isn't particularly welcoming for older guests or those who prefer paying with cash. Additionally, PayPal wasn’t accepted, which could be inconvenient for some visitors.
Our orders included a Vegan Crispy Cauliflower Kempu with a Pepsi from Anand George’s Indian for my friend, and for myself, a latte from Goodbar along with The Bees Knees Chicken Burger and chips from Mr Croquewich. The latte arrived promptly within 10 minutes and was fantastic. My friend’s food followed shortly after, and she enjoyed it.
Unfortunately, my own meal experience was quite disappointing. Despite waiting over 30 minutes for my burger and chips, the quality was poor. The bun was dried out, the bacon was overcooked (so much so it looked like it was possibly leftover from breakfast), and the excessive sauce made it messy rather than enjoyable. The chips were overcooked, greasy, and heavily seasoned to hide this to the point of being inedible. Considering the price, this was a letdown, and I wouldn’t return to this particular vendor.
While Goodsheds has a great atmosphere and some solid food options, inconsistent quality and long waiting times really impact the experience.
