Well, this one isn't some massive thing sticking out a mile from shore like at Carnarvon, Western Australia. Nor is it festooned with sideshow alley style amusements like Brighton or other British seaside resort town piers.
Frankston Pier is a good place to visit if you find yourself in Frankston mainly because of its location. If you find yourself at Frankston Beach you might as well take a stroll along it. If your visiting the tourist information centre and the foreshore area in general it would be strange not to wander along its length. In fact given Frankston is basically a seaside suburb your almost certainly going to find yourself somewhere near this place unless you are only here for work purposes.
So take the time to wander along it, get a few happy snaps along the coastline - especially towards the city of Melbourne - and check out the view.
