Haughton Hall Hotel Spa的点评
点评：Given a 1, but feel that it is too good for this place.
Stayed with a friend overnight on a journey home and have to say this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The website alludes to a plush hotel and spa...it is far from that. The room we have in the anti-building was tired, like the building and the grounds with their planters full of weeds. The television remote was filthy with muck ingrained between the buttons. The shower was either cold or scolding hot.
We were advised upon arrival that we could order food in the restaurant up to 20:20 which is earlier than advertised. We arrived at the restaurant if that's what it is to find 2 people sitting with drinks and no staff. After locating a member, we sat and they produced an A4 photocopied menu, which I must add is nothing like the one advertised. We were told that of the 3 starters, there were no Nachos. And of the deserts, 2 were also not available. It didn't leave much choice and as a Vegetarian only one starter of mozzarella sticks with salsa were my only option as the mains on offer were Chicken or Beef Burger or Scampi and chips. We left to find alternative dining.
Upon our return to the hotel, Girls and boys were running around, slamming doors and shouting. Hardly portraying the rural elegant hotel and spa that it is a million miles away from.
I was always told to finish with a positive and it has to be driving away from this God awful place.
Stay well away.
