Neum Coast的点评
点评：We stayed at the Nova Hotel in Neum as part of a package holiday which included trips to Mostar and Dubrovnik as well as other destinations. The hotel is new with clean simple lines and decor. The rooms are larger than expected, doubles or twin beds with a bed settee. Plenty of storage space and a large walk in shower, a good size balcony overlooking the coast but this could vary depending on the room. All staff were friendly and most spoke good English.
Neum is part of a very small section of coastline belonging to Bosnia Herzegovina.
It follows the coast and looks out over water to a peninsula which is also in Bosnia Herzegovina. The whole area is hilly with abundant shrubs and trees in between rocks.
It is a fairly steep walk along the road from our hotel to the promenade where there are typical beach side shops and cafes. The season doesn’t really start until the end of May, early June but it was obviously less crowded and the weather was warm. The small beach area is shingle.
This area can also be accessed by steps across the road from the main hotel through the grounds of the hotel annex. These are fairly steep and are arranged in several stages. Other steps also lead down to the promenade from other hotels along the road.
Restaurants with canopied outdoor seating are dotted along the promenade and the views across to the peninsular are uninterrupted.
There is plenty of accommodation in Neum but if you have some difficulty walking up or down slopes or stairs, make sure you know where your choice of hotel is situated.
ATM’s only dispense DMarks the local currency but a lot of places will also take Euros. Bosnia Herzegovina is not in the E U. If travelling to Dubrovnik for example in Croatia you will need to go through boarder control and show your passport.
