Great fun on the art deco weekend

点评：We visited Leeton specifically for the arty deco festival. Everyone was getting jnto the swing of it and there were many shop windows dressed for the period. People dressed up and were seen all over town enjoying the highlights. We visited the market in the park and purchased from the stalls. Listened to lots of music of the time with the standouts being the wild tonics and the gatsby girls. We had afternoon tea at the local church hall and mingled with some very lovely local people. The locals also did all the cooking and food prep and was beautiful . We visited the Henry Lawson house which was very interesting and glad to hear of the decisions made some years ago to save it. A fellow did a show of poetry by the great man which was good although he made some snide comments to some of the guests if they weren’t paying attention
We had brunch at the pages restaurant for Bastille day which was lovely, patronized again by some of the gatsby girls which made it lots of fun. We visited a number of the art deco features around town and topped it off with a visit to the malt house. A lovely time for us as we had come interstate for the weekend. Well worth the visit
