点评：After reading such good reviews we decided it would be worth the almost 2 hr drive to visit today. It was a little disappointing as most of the exhibits shown in the video on the website aren’t actually there, some of the things don’t work at all or had parts missing.
my kids were looking forward to the mocktail making after we read about it, however, I found out it’s £4.50 per drink, and with 3 children to pay for on top of the standard rate entry, car park and fuel cost to get there , I just couldn’t afford it so we missed out on that.
I understand this is an ever evolving project, but it has to work both ways and be value for money for the supporting customers too, and I do feel that the website is a little misleading and what you actually get, is not what you expect.
It is definitely not suitable for smaller children. Whilst trying to help my youngest daughter (age 5) turn the handle on the ball run, she was looking up, watching the ball travel along the track when the wooden ball fell out of the track from a height and hit her on the head, they are solid wooden balls so has left her with a nasty bruised bump and lots of tears.
Overall not a good experience for us.
A lot more explanation is needed on some of the “experiments”on how to use but also why/how it works, to explain the science.
Lower down, more accessible exhibits for smaller children or those in wheelchairs needed and some things need to be made much safer, as even with my constant supervision, the unfortunate accident still occurred due to lack of safety provision on the ball run.
We won’t be visiting again but wish you luck for the future, as it’s a great idea, just needs a lot of improvement and attention to detail
