点评：I recently joined onto a trip with the mountaineering company headed to Morocco to climb mount Toubkal. The trip lived up to all my expectations, AND THEN SOME. Not only did we summit Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in northern africa (our main objective), but we also summited 3 other 4000m mountains as well as some 3000ers on the way. If that's not getting your value for money, I don't know what is!
The route we took was amazing, taking us through some beautiful and serene landscapes. The whole trip was very well organized making it an enjoyable and memorable experience. We had 4 guides for the duration of our trip; Matt and Kat (our UK based guides) and Achmed and Mustapha (our local guides) as well as a skilled team of muleteers and porters to ferry bags, equipment and food between riads, tizi's and refuges. This team made every part of our adventure the best that it could be and I cannot fault any part of the experience.
The ages in our group ranged from 25 to 64.
Our group dynamic was great and everyone was friends in no time which I can say was only encouraged by Matt and Kat gathering us around a table during and at the end of each day with copious amounts of mint tea, coffee, popcorn and mega Choco bikkies to be shared. This normally preceded a very nourishing breakfast, lunch or dinner to set us in good spirits for our next push up the mountain.
Reaching the top of Mount Toubkal is at this moment the pinnacle of my hiking adventures and it was worth every step.
I can very honestly say that this trip took me to places I have never been (metaphorically and physically) and I cant wait to join up with the mountaineering company again for my next adventure.
