Horseshoe Bend Trail Rides的点评
点评：Our family of 4 took the 2-hour sunset horseback ride to Horseshoe Bend. Marla was our guide. Marla started off our tour downright rude - we said hello to her twice on arrival and she did not even acknowledge us. She did not give us her name, nor the names of each of the horses (we subsequently asked for them). Marla just seemed angry. She stated that our water bottles having ice in them would startle the horses, and that some of them were "ornery" (!), so we removed the ice and did our best to try to salvage the experience. She later told us that the horses we were riding were rodeo horses?!
When we saddled up, one of our sons was struggling with his confidence and she seemed really exasperated and frustrated with all of us, raising her voice and condescending our actions. (After the tour when we were at dinner, we all echoed that we wanted to call the tour off and leave. We did not feel safe and I honestly feared for my struggling son's safety. No helmets were offered.)
We were not asked about our riding experience upon booking the tour at all. Our family has ridden horses on vacation excursions on 3 other occasions without any incident. My husband and I have ridden on and off much of our lives.
Once we reiterated to Marla that our struggling son was on the autism spectrum, she flipped and began providing excellent assistance and became friendly and helpful to him.
Ultimately, the back-end of the ride was a pleasant experience and Marla became more friendly and easier to spend time with. She took some decent photos of our family (nothing outstanding) and tried to airdrop them to us unsuccessfully, eventually texting them to us. We did give Marla a $50 gratuity on top of the $800 we paid for the ride. It was an expensive evening.
I think that this tour may be a solid option for horseback enthusiasts and highly skilled riders, but if you are looking for a family trail ride, I would suggest finding another group.
