Poor service - dirty plates/cups - poor attention to detail in the Spa

点评：We had booked a Spa day with afternoon tea for a Hen Do - everything was pre booked and confirmed.
The lead of the group received a call on the day to say they had to push back the time for the afternoon tea - due to 'staff sickness' We explained this wouldn't work as some of the group had travelled quite a distance and needed to get back.
We had an agreed start time of 11.30 for treatments on arrival were told this had been changed and some of the party had to go straight to their treatment. So very rushed. there were further issues with timing of treatments but these were sorted.
The lockers were meant to have robes/towels etc for two - one locker only had one and one of the robes was still damp.
Three of the party did not receive treatments that were prebooked (and also written on the forms filled in on arrival). Treatments seemed rushed and not of the length of time advertised.
A complaint about all of this was sent and the spa did respond with a partial refund.
The afternoon tea was a total disaster - we had booked for 4pm - we were kept waiting to be seated for 5 minutes - then waited a further 15 minutes before drink orders were taken - then a further 10 - 15 minutes before they were actually brought out. Then a further 15 minute wait for the afternoon tea to actually arrive - ridiculously small portions of clotted cream - certainly not enough for three people with two scones. We asked for some more and were told they didn't have any left. There were dirty plates (dried egg yolk), 4 of 8 cups were badly tea stained, milk jugs with dirty stains around the top set out on the table.
I have asked several times for a response from the restaurant (the Assistant spa manager said she had asked them - but no direct response has been received) as to why the service was so poor and only received a brief comment from the Spa assistant manager to say they were also short staffed - however there were at least three staff in the restaurant area mostly stood around doing very little as there was only two other tables (in addition to ours).
For the amount charged for what should have been a special relaxing day for the Hen group I can only say that it is not worth it - poor service in the Spa - lack of communication and the fact that three members of the group did not receive the treatments booked even though all were prebooked and confirmed again on the day - each therapist even had a copy of the persons treatments in front of them - so no excuse really. (I accept we have received a partial refund but this doesn't change the fact that the service was poor).
As for the Afternoon tea - not even an explanation as to how dirty plates etc can be set on tables - waiting almost an hour for the afternoon tea to arrive is unacceptable
