点评：We would have loved to give this house a 5 because of its uniqueness, however we cannot. First of all, if you are visiting the house just to see it and take pictures, that's great, but please remember that people are paying to stay there and trying to enjoy a vacation. Don't come up and ask to come in, and please don't walk up on the deck and smear the windows to look inside. Only the exterior of the house was used in the movie, so there is no need to be a peeping Tom. None of the movie was filmed inside the house. Many people visit the house every day.
As far as the house itself goes, positives were that it was very clean when we arrived, and the house is decorated very nicely. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. There are nooks and crannies for reading, eating, etc., all over the house which make it so unique. Negatives are that there is a good amount of maintenance that needs to be done. The screened-in side porch has a screen torn completely off the window. As one reviewer noted earlier, the washing machine was very loud when it was on the spin cycle - loud enough that it interrupts talking, watching TV, etc. The ocean is now almost at the steps again. There is very little beach in front of the house, and at high tide there is almost none. The blue shutters on the house are beautiful, but they do make it kind of dark inside with little sunshine coming in. The dishwasher didn't work the entire time we were there, and we did report it on Monday at dinnertime and again Tuesday. Because of the beach situation, we were glad that our children and grandchildren weren't on this trip. Due to the negatives mentioned, we would not stay there again.
